Steamboat Tavern, Ipswich: December Listings!

Tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 2009…
From the warm, winter rays of Ipswich Caribbean collective United Reggae Band, to the silly and hugely entertaining Brewer Street Kazoo Band, the Steamboat has got plenty of upbeat, party offerings this festive season, not least of all its New Year’s Eve Casino Party, starring silky smooth Prince tribute band Purple Rain – expect James Bond quips around the roulette tables and wedding disco antics.
For those individuals yearning to showcase their songwriting skills, Thursday 3 and 17 see open mic nights hosted by Suffolk Songwriters, where local artists with talent can play to a friendly audience.
Finally, Road to V winners, Underline The Sky are playing on Saturday 19, which is bound to be a packed out night. For the price of a pint, you can witness the EP launch of this rapidly rising band.
