This poem is a code,

It’s a secret kind of ode

It holds the story of a man

within it’s words.

It was written on a whim

whilst I was thinking about him

And now I wonder just

where he is now

He disappeared from view

No this isn’t about you,

And it’s not about who

you think it is

about.

I don’t think anyone will know

Who this poem doesn’t show

Because I never spoke a word of him

to anyone

And although he doesn’t know it

Right here there is a poet

Who is wondering why his beauty

went away.

Now I’m going to go

And draw the curtain on this show

So I can package up this man

Into my mind.
