Team Ipswich 2010 training camps are under way… Join in and be part of the Suffolk Youth Games!
Team Ipswich are busy preparing competitors for this year’s Redrow Homes Suffolk Youth Games, which is the largest multi-sport festival for young people in the county. The Ipswich teams will be competing against the six other local authorities in Suffolk in a wide range of sports, on Sunday 11th July in Bury St Edmunds.
We have partnered with several Ipswich clubs who are going to help Ipswich get ready, providing expert coaching and training to help our participants compete at their best in the Games. These training camps offer extremely good value for money as they are supported by Sport Unlimited, who are responsible for extending opportunities for young people.
At the Games, medals will be awarded to the teams who finish first, second and third in each competition. The district with the greatest number of points across all sports will be awarded the title of ‘Suffolk Champion’. The district that receives the highest number of ‘Fair Play’ nominations will be awarded a Fair Play award.
To represent Team Ipswich, you must live or go to school in the borough of Ipswich and must meet the age criteria for your chosen sport. You can attend as many training programmes as you like, but you can only represent Team Ipswich in one sport on the day of the event.
