Good news for photographers looking to get their work noticed! A new photography competition has just opened in Suffolk and is looking for either professional or amateur entries.
The Landguard Partnership is holding a competition to find the twelve best photographs taken on Landguard Peninsula and the winners will be used to make the 2012 calendar. The winners will be chosen by public vote on the website.
There are three categories:
U16’s - public voting determines the best 4 photos in this category
U25’s - public voting determines the best 4 photos in this category
Everyone else - public voting determines the best 4 photos in this category
An overall winner will then be picked by a panel of judges. The competition opened yesterday and will close on 31st July 2011.
If you don’t know the Landguard Peninsula, it’s near to Felixstowe and includes a nature reserve (lovely in summer but eerie and bleak in winter), Landguard Fort (site of the last attempted UK invasion by the Dutch in the seventeenth century) and the Port of Felixstowe.
They are looking for interesting and imaginative interpretations of the site so why not take a trip out there and have a go!
