An afternoon of superb local music will be held at The Edwardstone White Horse on Sunday the 11th of September, between the hours of 12pm and 6pm. The event is to raise funds, awareness and support for La Isla Foundation; a Nicaraguan- based charity.

The primary mission of La Isla Foundation is to address the cause and the effects of the chronic kidney failure epidemic both in the community of La Isla in Nicaragua and throughout Central America. Nearly 70% of men in La Isla have Chronic Kidney Disease. 30% of the women have been widowed by the disease, they call La Isla ‘La Isla de viudas’ (the island of widows) for this reason. More than 30% of the men have end stage kidney failure and will die due to lack of adequate medical treatment unless the organisation does something to intervene. It is therefore vital we raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause.

ADY JOHNSON - Ex-Fuzzface frontman and a dynamic, powerful crafter of songs. His already-acclaimed solo album ‘Tell the Worry Dolls’ is a must-hear.
SPACECAKE - Polstead based entertainers playing acoustic banjo percussive groove. Original songs mixed with covers.
THE JIM JIMS - Acoustic jazz influenced, bossa nova tinged sounds from Normandy and Suffolk.
RICHARD HEPBURN - Singer-songwriter with a unique finger-picking style and a haunting sound.

THE VENUE:
The Edwardstone White Horse is an award-winning Suffolk pub in the small village of Edwardstone, Suffolk (was recently crowned The Greenest Pub in Suffolk). It has an on-site Eco- Brewery and there is a campsite for those wishing to make a weekend of it, though it is advisable to book in advance for this.
