On the 24th July, the state of New York passed the bill to allow same sex marriage. This was big, big news in the city that weekend, and the Gay Pride parade was packed with thousands of spectators and supporters. I had to climb some scaffolding to get some good shots !! Out of all the controversial and colourful paraders, I feel this photograph represents the pride and celebratory of the gay community this day.
