The idea behind this installation came to me when I was sitting on the living room carpet at home. I was thinking about the world. I really wanted to do something that can make people think about life and certain things. I believe that art is a personal reaction to the present reality.
The condition of the objects used in the installation is sure and safe. The trolley shows signs of use and carries the marks of time. I can not identify if it has been restored in the past, it is in the initially manufactured state.
It is shown this way because the medium has an implicit meaning. The trolley is used to transmit the feeling of carriage of our day to day needs, and the balloons can resemble the things we most like to buy. In terms of ideals - the things we would take to a deserted island.
The title “The fine things in life” is a way of reading short the project’s narration. The trolley is carrying the fine things in life which are represented through the colored balloons. The carrier can be one of us, metaphorically speaking. Putting all this together the meaning of it is cynically ironic. In our big journey on earth, we are carriers of nothing, of air, although everything we can see is The fine things in life.

I love this work Andrei, its not too literal than you get it’s message immediately, and its not too playful; the balloons are contained and not free. What compels me most, are the dead balloons of the floor. The fine things in life that burst.
