So FINALLY, the weather has sorted itself out and we can all enjoy a bit of sunshine - just in time for the summer edition of IP1 magazine!
With all the A Level and GCSE results coming out, some of you may be in a panic about the future and your grades - but fear not. Our main feature tells the story of the NEET population (Not in Employment, Education or Training), who have used their time out of work or education to pursue creative projects and even set up their own businesses. Take Snobs Coffee for example, who from starting up a pop up cafe, now have their own coffee haven in the Town Hall. Pop down, pick up a mag and read their story whilst sipping a caffeinated beverage (or decaff, no pressure!).
This issue we met up with Lewis Mokler, a nutella fanatic who’s debut album shot straight to number 6 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and Bury based artist Ben Giles who’s quirky collages have been picked up by the likes of Diesel. We also took on board sex pest investigative journalist, Tuck Bannigan, and heard the tale of a French sandwich who wrongly ends up in a service station.
That sounds bloody mental I hear you say, where can I read all this?! Well get yourself down to a local hot spot to pick up a copy, or equally read it online now. It may be the best thing you do all day.
