Housed in the specially refurbished Victorian Wing of the Ipswich Museum and Art School Gallery, an opportunity to be adventurous and take a fresh look at life drawing with an experienced tutor has arisen. Explore the figure, try new ideas, smudge your lines, delve deeper into the human form.
For the first three sessions you will explore using gestural sketches to look for shape and form; and ask where is the weight, the dynamic, the flow? Then in longer poses start to experiment, looking for essence, energy, and the relation of the figure to the world around. The last two sessions will give you space to expand your ideas, consolidating and building on what you have developed.
Course dates – April 30, May 7, May 14, May 28, June 4
The course is best experienced as a whole, although individual sessions can be attended.
Individual sessions: £10
Book all five sessions: £40 (that’s a saving of 20% and works out at just £4 an hour)
