First up on the bill at 7pm is Words Into The Dark, a work-in-progress by Wendy Houstoun. It’s stand-up meets vaudeville with a bit of word association and improvisation thrown in. This is Houstoun’s first attempt at seeing what happens when the script is thrown out the window. Curious? We are.
Second up at 9pm is visual artist Hetain Patel’s, American Boy. Inspired by American movie culture, Hetain looks at the multiple identities that we all inhabit in our day-to-day lives. Using vocal and physical imitations, American Boy is bound to follow on from the successes of Hetain’s previous performance works TEN and Be Like Water.
Tickets for both events are a snip at just a fiver for those under 26. For everyone else it’s still good value at just £8.50. Please note, tickets cannot be purchased via DanceEast. However, you can book by calling the New Wolsey Theatre’s friendly box office team on 01473 295900 or by purchasing in person at the venue.
Don’t forget there will be FREE live music from Brooches at DanceEast straight after American Boy.
