Review: End of Year Show 2014 @ UCS, Ipswich!

IP1’s Arts Editor, Emily Godden, chooses her highlights from this year’s End of Year Show at UCS

Whatever your creative fancy there is a range of work on display at this year’s End of Year Show that is testament to the quality and diversity of work being produced by students from the Department of Art, Design and Humanities.

This free exhibition runs until June 15 (that’s this Sunday, best be quick!) and here are some things that should not be missed…

BA Interior Architecture and Design, looking lovely in Orange

Richard Dolby explores ideas of using both organic and inorganic waste materials (one thing you won’t be wasting looking at this work is your time!)

Take a look at these calming paintings by Naomi Pratchett, and the view from the studio whilst your at it

You won’t be bored of these cardboard pieces by Katie Williamson

Once you’ve climbed the stairs to reach the top floor of the End of Year Show you will be greeted by well, more stairs… (an installation by Anna Stollery)

Looking far from ‘on the huh’, it’s the BA Graphic Design show

Situated in the Waterfront Gallery is the BA Dance show – not to be missed!

Not to be sniffed at – Karen MacGregor‘s work about animal cruelty

An installation view of Andrei Costache‘s Dream Shapes – not to be missed. No really, how could you miss those delicious colours!?!
