  • The Press Gazette is a news website for news professionals, full of interesting think pieces and current affairs plus guides and training

  • BBC Academy provides a comprehensive guide to the journalism expectations of the BBC, with great guides to editorial standards

  • The Guardian’s Style Guide is a very useful list of guidelines on spelling, grammar, syntax and common mistakes
