But ultimately, we all know that it’s only a matter of time before we hear the familiar jingle of a certain soft drink advert on the TV, informing us that the ‘holidays are coming’.
What if I was to tell you that this year, your Christmas shopping doesn’t have to feel like a chore at all and that it can actually be…wait for it…enjoyable.
Why not avoid the stuffy crowds in the High Street stores and head over to a Craft and Vintage Market, hosted by I Make Fun Stuff, to browse the stalls for that wonderfully unique present for Great Aunt Lily (or even to find a one-off treat for yourself).
I Make Fun Stuff have been running these successful markets since 2009 and they’ve grown in popularity and size ever since!
So grab yourself a hot drink, lose your inner-Scrooge, embrace the inevitable festive tunes and support your local artists, crafters, makers and designers by being part of the fun on St Peters Street this coming Sunday.
Jamie from the Rose House Butchery will be there too, so even if you want to avoid shopping completely, there’ll be some good grub on offer to indulge in.
Read more about the market on their Facebook event page or follow the guys on Twitter @imakefunstuff for regular updates.
