Charlie Law & The Cabineers
Profile
Brothers Fabian, Jon and Jacob Tierney (The Cabineers) took British singer-songwriter Charlie Law in as one of their own, and turned his honest songwriting talents into fully fledged upbeat British Country songs.
Riding on the jet streams of Paul Simon, Ben Howard and Bob Dylan, ‘Charlie Law and the Cabineers’ new EP ‘Take Me Home’ aims to capture a flavour of their passionate live show. On the EP Charlie sings, plays acoustic guitar, and honky-tonk style piano. Jacob plays Telecaster, violin, mandolin and percussion, Jon plays African influenced bass and organ, whilst Fabian (only 17) plays the drums.
‘Take Me Home’ was recorded and produced by the band in Charlie’s home, a log cabin in the deepest depths of the Suffolk countryside. Charlie Law and The Cabineers function on a DIY basis, so everything you see and hear, including this bio, has been created or procured by us!
Charlie and Jacob have already been playing together for 5 years, having toured extensively around the UK. Charlie has been featured by the BBC on the BBC Wales evening show and several times by BBC Suffolk introducing. Last year we played at Folkeast Festival, Wilkestock Festival, Wickham Festival, Ipswich Music Day, and The Big Noise Festival. We headlined at Proud, Camden in December to release our latest single ‘Who Made Heaven’ (released on folk label ‘The Davenport Collection’), which has since been featured in ‘My favourite finds from the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition 2014’ in Amelia’s Magazine. Recently Charlie was a winner in the Petta Fiesta songwriting competition. We’ve done a session at the O2 arena for the Mayor Of London’s office, and we’ve been played and featured on radio stations and blogs across the globe.
We hope to see you at a show soon!
