From the word go, it’s clear that Feed Me To The Villains draw their musical influence from a range of bands and musical genres.
Mon Vide in particular exemplifies this as the track’s intro serves up a particularly frenetic start with a sound not dissimilar to The Bled and other metal bands. The guitar work by Traf and Will in the song’s chorus is brilliantly melodic and helps to lift the heavy tone of it, keeping it fresh. However, parts of the track seem to suffer from weak vocal sections where it becomes difficult to understand the lyrics of the song.
An Easy Freak rectifies this by offering a self-proclaimed pop-rock alternative to Mon Vide. The lead vocalists’ voice is far clearer in this track and in contrast, the backing vocals compliment him perfectly.
Lupi Spuma on the other hand, feels like an amalgamation of the two aforementioned tracks combining the melodic choruses in Mon Vide with the pop-rock elements found in An Easy Freak to create something quite versatile.
Feed Me To The Villains will be playing in Bury St Edmunds at Déjà Vu on the 16th March supporting Third Fret. JP
