IP1 has been informed by RAMP Records’ head Tom Kerridge that his all–day electronic music festival, Two Thousand & Eighty Four, will now not be going ahead – as advertised in issue 37 of IP1 and elsewhere.
Originally scheduled to take place this Saturday (March 26) at The Apex, the widely anticipated event , which would’ve seen some of the country’s freshest acts brought to Suffolk including Ben UFO, Bullion and Ekoplekz, was recently cancelled by the venue, “The Apex just pulled the plug with not much explanation, but there were two other events listed for the 26th days later. Nice, eh?”, Tom explained.
IP1 is very disappointed at this news, which indicates a worrying lack of support for progressive youth music in Suffolk, with the venue claiming that not enough tickets were sold to make the night viable.
Seems like the odd Funeral for a Friend gig might be all that young people can expect from Suffolk’s latest “community venue”.
