This year Ultrazang has been asked by Oxfam to host an Oxjam Takeover, putting on a weekend of gigs in Ipswich and Stowmarket to raise money for Oxfam.

The weekend kicks off with a Ska-oriented night at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket on Friday 25. The gig will be headlined by Suffolk fusion dub/rock band Solko, who are fast becoming one of the biggest underground acts in the country.

The following evening, indie rock is on the menu at St Nicholas Centre in Ipswich, headlined by Manningtree’s mighty Dingus Khan.

We would describe both headliners as big, as in there are lots of them! Solko are a seven-piece and Dingus Khan have as many band members as spiders have legs.
