makeAMPLIFY: Into the Woods R&D Open Doors Session, Town Hall, Ipswich, May 15!

Dance and digital media artists, makeAMPLIFY, will be opening their doors to the public on May 15, offering you a window into their research process and the opportunity to learn more about their collaborative exploration of emergent technologies and motion capture software with audio-visual pioneers asdescribed.

makeAMPLIFY are currently in research and development of their new project, Into the Woods. From May to July 2014 they are working across London and Ipswich investigating new digital technologies and combining them with dance, animation and plant life. They are specifically looking at the potential for bodies and organic patterns to reclaim urban landscapes and structures.

Excitingly, makeAMPLIFY are collaborating for the first time with asdescribed, creative events producers Designersblock and award-winning pattern designer Camilla Meijer. Together they are exploring new approaches to creating multi-disciplinary, interactive events for outdoor, site-specific and festival platforms.

The free drop-in session in Ipswich will take place on Thursday, May 15 from 1-3pm at The Corn Exchange and Town Hall. More formal sharing of findings and feedback will take place this summer and details will be announced soon.
