Arches and Streets - A Small Tribute

I walked through the cobbled streets and arches holding hands with my despair
I feel a ghostly presence caress my skin but nobodies there
Its not that I feel alone
I mourn the loss of my darling

Her rosy cheeks and highlights in her hair
She could put a smile on my face, her just standing there
Her loving arms wrapped round like shroud
Would make me happy and do me proud

And never had I felt such bliss that surrounded me
I am lucky to have joined you on the last part of your journey
The noise of the world seems to pass me by
The sun doesnt glow with the same radiant light

I walk wearily on home, cutting through the early spring breeze
That whips up bushes, the trees and dried leaves
She stained my heart with love and warmth
She was only ever my first thought

The midnight dreams of you, they feel so ethereal
I know your with with me, I know, I see, I feel
You are the newest star illuminating my wondrous sky
The scarlet tinted blackness at night
